MOONLIGHT KISSES
I wanted to see the full-moon rise on the Summer Solstice, and the Oregon coast (where I live) was fogged-in, so I drove an hour east toward Salem. The fog cleared, and I rendezvoused with the moon for 2 hours in the forest. She revealed this to my heart:
EVER OPENING HEART
Dedicated to YOU, the Beloved, Hu Else?
Take me in to the place where I end and you begin.
I don’t know how this story will end…
I’m not afraid anymore to open the door wide and let you inside. For you’re already there waiting for me to turn around and embrace you. I perceive from your eyes and feel from your heart. I do know−you are me. This illusion of “we” is the last stronghold of the ego personality. When the personhood dissolves you will have full reign, and unconquerable joy. That will not be observed by me, for I will then be You. But just before that final surrender I will feel you whooshing me away into pure bliss. Today, is a day like that…
When a heart opens, there is no holding back.
No journey to take, and nothing to pack.
