SUNRISE BLESSING

It is as if I’ve waited my entire life
for this very moment.
Nothing else matters.
I hold my breath and bow my head
for The Blessing.
Then, my breathing returns in shallow sighs.
Head back, eyes open wide
to admit all the light I can, I begin to fill.

The heart of the young bride, accepting her morning joy.
